An Evening with Gale Anne Hurd

Women At Work presents Gale Anne Hurd in conversation with Sandra Tsing Loh.

On Tuesday, November 1st, join us as 89.3 KPCC hosts Women At Work at The Crawford Family Forum to honor Gale Anne Hurd, 2011 winner of the Women At Work Trailblazer Award.

Gale Anne Hurd, a much-respected film and television producer whose efforts have garnered Academy and Emmy Award nominations over the course of her long career, will speak with the evening’s moderator, Sandra Tsing Loh, about the risk-taking innovation that marks Hurd’s approach and results, both at the helm of Valhalla Entertainment and beyond.

This conversation between honoree Hurd — established Hollywood veteran — and writer/performer Loh, well-known “The Loh Down on Science” radio commentator — will illuminate the challenges of working in the male-dominated worlds of film and TV, acknowledge Gale Anne Hurd’s contributions to her own industry, and recognize her achievements’ value in the larger context of American culture.

7:00pm – Doors Open/Reception
8:00pm – Program
