About Valhalla Entertainment

CEO Gale Anne Hurd led Valhalla’s first foray into cable series television, developing and producing AMC’s hit drama, The Walking Dead, with filmmaker Frank Darabont. The Walking Dead garnered outstanding reviews across the board, quickly breaking ratings records to become the most watched drama in basic cable history, and debuted internationally in over 120 countries in 33 different languages.  The Walking Dead earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama Series, a Directors Guild of America nomination, Writers Guild of America nomination for Best New Series, and recognition as one of AFI’s Ten Best Television Programs of the Year.  The series returns in October 2012 for its third season of 16 all new episodes.

Valhalla has developed and produced a range of projects, including the Bruce Willis blockbuster Armageddon, the futuristic sci-fi thriller Aeon Flux, Marvel’s The Punisher and The Punisher: War Zone based on the classic comic, and the smash hits Hulk and The Incredible Hulk. Valhalla also produces exceptional television movies, like The Wronged Man, starring Julia Ormond, and Last Man Standing, starring Catherine Bell, Mekhi Phifer, and Anthony Michael Hall. Gale Anne Hurd is a respected and innovative film and television producer who first rose to prominence producing iconic cultural touchstones, including Aliens and The Terminator.

Additionally, for Aspen Comics, Valhalla created the comic book “The Scourge,” written by Scott Lobdell and drawn by Eric Battle, and has developed “Dead Man’s Run,” from an idea by Valhalla executive Ben Roberts.  “Dead Man’s Run” is written by Greg Pak, one of the world’s leading creators, and drawn by Tony Parker.  Issue #0 will debut at New York Comic-Con.

Hurd and Valhalla are developing a rich slate of future projects, including the highly anticipated contemporary action thriller The Nameless by writer Chris Bullett, the Halloween horror film Hellfest, written by Will Penick and Chris Sey, for CBS Films, and the upcoming television series Port Royal, written by Scott Rosenbaum (V, Chuck and The Shield)  for  GK-tv and FX.

The candor offered at Valhalla Entertainment’s website is by far the best! Curious, is there a contact I could get for the art department? I’m a concept artist (TV, Video Game – http://www.mackart.ca) who would love the opportunity to work with the Valhalla team. – Mack
